I think ASDA were over inflating the price for a number of days so they could do a half-price offer.

to be honest they all do it, you only have to sell the product in one store for a certain amount of days/weeks, to be able to claim the higher price when they do offers like this, so they probably either pick a store in the middle of nowhere, or a specific store that does not normally sell a lot of the product the are intending to over inflate the price on so that way they never really lose that much custom, but can then claim you are saving more, and i am not talking specifically about asda, i am talking about them all
