Not totally sure what you mean, but have you tried changing the resolution of the monitor. This should be available in the control panel under display settings. Try changing it to 1024 x 768 or if it is already at this try 800 x 600.

Select the Start button at the bottom left of your display. Select the option entitled "Control Panel"

Next it depends how you have you panel set, look for an icon called "display" or an option called "Appearance and Themes" (if you choose " Appearance and Themes" you then need to select "Change the screen resolution")

Select the "Settings" tab and move the bar up to a lower resolution. You get the option to test it before accepting. Find one you are comfortable with.

    Hi there,
I myself have visual problems abd appreciate the problems u may have. Also I appreciate the variety in visual disability and in this vein I am thinking of eventually thinking of setting of setting up a website for the more techie minded visually impaired users!!!

In your case well it depends on the nature of your loss/impairment. In my own case I use the 1900x1200 res with extra large fonts and extra large mouse (inverted) mouse pointer. In addition I use the magnifier at x3 (it has its faults... rubbish update rate in certain situations). Another alternate (which I use) to compensate is the "dpi setting" which lies within the advanced button/tab of the "display settings" from the control panel. This is especially useful if your visual loss is pigmented.

If your overall visual loss is of an overall blurred nature then stick with simply lowering the the resolution or in my opinion spending a few extra quid in purchasing a bigger monitor. 640quid or so will buy you a very nice 24 inch widescreen Dell monitor, 150 or so will buy you a 19" one, 120quid will buy a 17" one and 90-100quid should buy you a 15" one. All the ones I mention are flat panel monitors. Also they are only guesses at the prices.

I hope this helps.... if not I am happy for you to PM me for advice. Though bear in mind I am no "expert"!!!! lol

If all is still not quite right there is a product called "LiquidView" google it..... I would only try it as a last ditch attempt (I don't use it myself).
