had a quick looksie and couldn;t see any reference to these new changes on prices regs on amazon.... I think its quite interesting and will either see sellers come off amazon or push prices up elsewhere to compensate....

This will only affect the big sellers though who have abe acounts or other third party accounts. For the majority of us it -shouldn't- make a difference as we don't double list entire stock levels. Although if th ebig sellers are forced to put up their prices in line with their listings on other sites then it might even benefit us smaller sellers ...possibly.
Although with Amazon what they mean and what they say are often two diffferent things so I'm sure it will all change as soon as it is implemented.
Anything that helps sales though is welcomed, 1450 books listed and not a single sale now for 4 days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I found it interesting as Amazon was next on my list for world domination!! I sell jewellery and the fees for jewellery is about 29% on amazon and that would be factored in to my amazon prices.... At that level of fees then I couldn;t afford to sell on there if I have to jkeep prices in line with my website and ebay..... I think I might have to rethink my plans.....sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0

I've got to agree, it's madness. :eek:I found it interesting as Amazon was next on my list for world domination!! I can see why they've done it, but telling us how to behave on entirely different sites is a bit too far :undecidedThis is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

There is quite a lot of discussion about this on the seller boards and the general feeling is that this will only really be practical to enforce for larger sellers who use the same trading name across several sites. That would be easy to police of course.Apparently it has been in force in the uS for 2 years already.
I do sell books on ebay, not generally the same ones that I have on Amazon but as my user names are completely different I think I will probably be safe. I also list on greenmet but as nothing really sells there it won't be too much of a hardship to remove them from that site rather than risk my Amazon account. There is some suggestion that Play is an obvious one they will police, but I don't sell there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
