None of the early 140PS versions do. It was only origianlly fitted to the 170PS version.0 -
...which is a 2.0. Which is what I was saying...0

I might be totally wrong here but i thought CDi were common diesel rail which sent fuel to the injectors then any fuel not used was sent back through the rail to the tank...ive seen loads of diesels with CD on the back.
Like I said im prob wrong but I thought this was the was most modern Diesels run now.0 -
Just in a bit of a dilemma on what to go for next.
I worked out that petrol vs. diesel over 6 years including that big service bill you only save about £200 to £300 going with a diesel Mazda 6. All it takes is one repair that the petrol would not have needed....0 -

all diesels have leak off pipes attatched to the injectors, this sends the excess fuel back to the fuel tank, not the engines oil sump like the ops problem with his mazda....work permit granted!0 -

the initials C D generally stand for Compressed Direct. i.e compressed direct injection CDI....work permit granted!0 -
I thought it was for Commonrail Direct injection. as opposed to the rotary distributer pumps on early diesels.0

Went to a Skoda dealer today and confirmed the 2.0 PD has no DPF so ordered one down from another branch for a test drive on Saturday. Auto press says diesels on this model are noisy and not refined (what does that mean?), but I can put up with a bit of noise (I think!) as long as its a bog standard diesel!
Does anyone know of any other such cars with 'bog standard' diesel engines?
Also went into the Mazda garage to seek out 2.0 petrol. What a bunch of numpties. No sales people in used car section, when eventually found manager had no clue about Mazda models, (multi-franchise) nothing in stock. Will visit alternative dealer sometime.
Looks like I may stick with diesel though.0 -

back in the day when i was serving my time it was Compressed Direct Injection. well thats what our college lecturer told us and the IMI approved city and guilds course told us. im sure different manufacturers will make it mean different things but this is what i understand it as.
i know you get the CRD, is this perhaps Common Rail Diesel/direct?...work permit granted!0 -
