Network connections?

Am using my personal laptop at work until they re-equip following a burglary and theft.
I was able to connect to their network (from a home server) perfectly well last week but this morning cannot 'see' their server today.
I am running Vista Home premium.
I am wondering if there is a solution?
I am being told that there is a need to upgrade my OS to the Professional version for it to be compatable but if this is so how come I have connected to their server without any trouble at all for two weeks or so.
Help.

Sorry - little bit confused - are you working from home and trying to connect to the works network, or are you at work trying to connect to it?Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0

Just in case anyone else ever comes up against this problem, I have found the answer.
It appears that Vista Home Premium does not have the ability to remember log ons and passwords so what I had to do was go to the search button, bottom left at the start and type in \\wanted location and enter.
So if you wanted to connect to say a server called "Homeserver 3" you would type \\homeserver3 then press enter and BINGO!
Easy when you know how.
Hope this might help someone else too.:T0 -
Good to know it's working
I thought the start - run was classed as URL history so it would remember it, but anything to do with Vista doesn't surprise me
This forum really needs some form of function where you can mark threads as a resolved with a little logo or somethingOwner of andrewhope.co.uk, hate cars and love them
