    Just there is a lot of choices in Linux, but please just choose one. I tend to get lost in to the great amount of choices I have and then end up doing really nothing. :P

    Ubuntu is best with more RAM. I try to use at least 384MB for old machines, it makes a very big difference, and with Windows too of course, and as mentioned, is cheap from ebay. If you do try Ubuntu, even privately, consider trying the long term support (LTS) version and not only the 6 month versions?
