Will lowering my o/d...

Hey,
Was suppose to get rid of my O/D in Jan/Feb, But suffered abit of a fallback, So was wondering If i paid in 50 pound a week into my Halifax O/d Which the limit is 650, They see me paying it off weekly, Is there a chance they might just take the whole back in one?,
E.g. I pay 50 this wednesday, So o/d is now 600, if i go into branch and ask to lower it, I won't get no funny letter a couple of days later saying 14 days to pay it all back?.
The reason i ask that is because this is not my main account and roughly 250 a month go into it which aint a big sum and i rather not have thier computer being triggered (if such a thing exist)?

:o

I would imagine that paying off the overdraft £50 at a time would make them less likely to remove it - as they can see that you are managing it well.

It's most likely to be removed if the account doesn't have regular credits going into it.

    Their decision or yours?
if i go into branch and ask to lower it
Why would you do that? No discipline? Some institutions make a credit search for overdraft reductions, as well as increases. Best to keep under their radar in my opinion.

    Hey,
Thanks for the response, and i rarely get bank charges so perhaps i do manage my money well, but not well enough to get rid of an overdraft that i don't need, I got a review recently saying how my O/D has been accepted for 650 again as I'm confused why they would'nt of lowered it due to low income into that account ( not sure how long review are for halifax.)
The reason i wanted to go into halifax to lower it , is proberbly as it feels better when you say "£600" o/d rather thank "£650", But if it not recommend then i keep away until it sorted then close account, Many thanks for your input.:D:cool:
