Yep, I specifically asked if it was legal to leave and tax on 1st April and was told yes, but to use vehicle reg document not renewal.
Ets. It says on the reverse of the renewal "By law you as the reg keeper will not be committing an offence if you tax the vehicle ..within 14 days of the date your current tax disc runs out. You must keepyour vehicle off the road during this time or you will be committing an offence".0
