Hi,

I am hoping to get some advice ...

I ordered the new VW polo back in Dec '09. I was hoping to part exchange it for my current polo and put the rest on finance.

i signed all the necessary paperwork etc and since have been waiting for the arrival of the car. i assumed the credit check was done there and done.

i phoned the sales exec last week to ask him when i can expect the car. i was then informed that the finance on the car had been rejected.

surely, he should have told me sooner? not 2 weeks before im expecting to receive the car! the sales exec just said the finance on the car has been declined and to put the car onto someone else's name.

i had given a deposit of £500 when ordered and had been informed it would have be non-refundable. but surely, since they've told me three months after the car has been ordered that the finance has been rejected, i should be entitled to my desposit back?

just wondering if anybody could give me some advise.

does a credit check normally take three months? i wouldn't have thought so.

I think they can get a credit score more or less instantly, judging by the amount of finance and HP sites on the internet, when I had one to be a guarentor (sp) for my daughter it was done in three hours and that included all the paperwork

yeah, im sure it shouldn't take three months...i've emailed the sales exec for an explanation, so just waiting to hear back from him now.
