Dispute with Zurich Building Insurance

Hi,
wonder if anyone can help. We are currently having a dispute over some defects to our house. The house is 8 years old, so is covered by a Zurich structural guarantee. This gaurantee covers us for major damage (including damp penetration) as a result of latent defects.
The house has parpaet walls, and suffers from significant water running down the house due to incorrectly sized coping stones and drip sills. This water then leaves significant salt staining, and this will eventually cause damp. This is undisputed.
Zurich refuse to acknowledge / cover the problem as there is no major damage yet - so the fact that it will cause damage is irrelevant to them.
Does have any experience of similar issues and any knowledge of how to argue this successfully? The house obviously has defects. We did not have a full survey done as it's only 8 years old!
Thanks
