Hi,
I was hoping the knowledgable ebay people here could answer a query I have about P&P.
There is an auction running at the moment for a joblot of audio books. The P&P quoted is £2.75 which is ebay's max for this type of auction however the listing says ignore the £2.75, the real cost is £15 due to the size of the lot.
Is that allowed?
Thanks

no.
the seller should have split them into lots, so they could have split the postage. or started the listing at a higher price. how many are there as you can send several kilos via standard parcels for half of that.0 -
23 books. It will be a fair weight but I thought it was as you said, you either split them up or include the costs in the initial asking price.
I didn't think you could quote 1 price to get round the system and then tell people the invoice would be an extra £12.25.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Are you the one whos bid on it? Why didn't he just list it under job lot books and add postage that way. I thought postage was allowed under those categories.0

No I haven't bid on it. I would have until I saw this P&P issue and wondered if it was allowed as it appears misleading and against the rules.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0
