Budgeting software for Apple Mac

Hi there, newbie here. I can see a lot of budgeting software available for PC users, but very limited offerings for anyone using an Apple Mac. Can anyone pass on any suggestions/recommendations?

I'm looking for something that allows me to track income/expenditure against a budget. Basically, personal accounting software.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks!

I use Moneydance on a PC, but there is a Mac version. It's excellent - easy to use and although it's not free, it doesn't cost very much, and there is a free trial so you don't have to pay at all until you've seen whether you like it.

There are actually a lot of really good personal finance applications for the Mac. Do a Google search for...

    Liquid Ledger
    MoneyWell
    iBank
    Cha-ching

I'd personally recommend iBank. They have a great iPhone app which syncs with it too :)

AFAIK Quicken is no longer supported in the UK. Most of its functionality is available in MoneyDance as mentioned above.

  • I have used and tried a range of software for financial management on my macs. Around 12 years. However I have used Moneydance for the past four years and find it the best of the bunch. It takes a little work to set up but its a free download for a period of time or for a fixed number of entries to try.
The forum is good and you get ( although sometimes slowly ) a personal response to queries. Despite the other recommendations I would suggest you try it and see how you get on.
