Just returned from Toyota garage. Thinking of purchasing a new Toyota Yaris 1.0 VVTi 5 Door, metallic paint on swappage deal. £12152 so £10152 with swapping old 9 yr old Avensis. My question is can I ask for discount or extras thrown in under the swappage deal? Is it too cheeky?
Also I am torn between the blue & grey. Which colour would you buy?
Any input welcome.

Before you get involved with nitty gritty have you checked brokers out to see how much you could get the car for without swappage...leaving you free to sell your Avensis.

on Honestjohns site the basic car shows at £9345, so add metallic paint and it's cheaper than the scrappage offer.

Manufacturers have inflated prices by about £2k, so private buyers benefit not one iota from scrappage deal.
It is one of the biggest cons in recent times.Mortgage free

Have you checked the What car price guide to see if you should be getting a discount? And is it scrappage or swappage there is a difference, scrappage means your car has to be scrapped, swappage means they can sell your car on.

£9800 at drive the deal if you use toyota finance, £10300 without.
You are getting £148 for your Avensis.
Bend over - they are shafting you.

Agreed, however this is not the " scrappage scheme " it is a " swappage scheme " which is basically just marketing hype.0 -
