It may sound like I'm being silly or splitting hairs, but I'm not. A house purchase is one of the biggest financial decisions most of us ever make, so it's definitely business.
True!

I have just been looking at it again online, it really is a lovely house but I need another viewing to look at it more closely IYKWIM. What should I be looking out for/asking during the next viewing? I guess there are checklists to be found on t'internet so must have a look.

My first checks include looking for anything they may be hiding with a well placed sofa or newly painted wall. I look for damp patches, rotting wood, i have a feel for the floorboards under foot and see if they're all over the place etc. I'll go into the garden and look at the roof, i'll look at the windows/fascias and the lead flashing around the chimney stack.
newly painted walls could be to make it less of a home for a sale or could be to hide damp temporarily so always be careful and weary of that.
Apart from that i'd probably just have a quick look where sockets/aerials etc run and whether i can fit in a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer into the kitchen. heheMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
