Good luck but I'm sure you won't need it and will be surprised how easy and straight forward it is!

Hi summer, spooky that after all the worrying we did about IVA or BR that we have both got the same date - mine is at 10:30 this morning. Getting very nervous now and want it all over and done with. GL GL GL x
  • It is not that scary. As previous posts have said. But was is the most wonderful feeling in the world is when the judge says "you are no longer responsible for these debts". A physical weight lifts from your shoulders and a wonderful debt free life begins. Its priceless!!

In the phone call they usually ask about things that were on your application, including mainly the reasons for going BR so they can check it is a genuine application. You've done the worst part now I wouldn't get too stressed over it :)

hi summer i'm glad you got through the court bit ok! i hope you are relaxing a bit

the phone call isn't anything to worry about. they go through your br petition and check details. they go through each item of debt and ask you what it was for eg car, house improvements, day to day living expenses etc but they don't go through items on your statements etc it's a general overview. the OR asked me why i thought i had got into this situation, i just echoed what i had written on the forms.

for your phone call have your forms in front of you and some idea what each debt arose for

please don't worry, the worst is over x
