Hello,
Its finally the day for my b/r hearing tomo,!!! I am absolutly petrified, I know you may say its a good thing but I am so scared, I have either done the forms wrong or I will say the wrong thing. This has been such a massive problem that hopfully it will be sorted soon. But what actually happens tomo???? is that it or do we have to wait??? I could list a million questions,
any advice would be great.
Thanks so much.xxxxx

hi please don't panic, it will be fine, honest!
at court the clerk will go through your forms with you, so can correct any mistakes. you may or may not see the judge for a couple of minutes. that's it!
at a later date you will have an interview (may be phone or face to face) with the official receiver, but they will be in touch over the next couple of weeks about this
i totally understand how you are feeling - the night before is hard. the day is a formality though, nothing to be scared of
let us know how you get on, good luck0 -

Hi summer, 3 copies of each of your BR forms (sometimes the court clerk photocopies these for you, just ring to ask).
And the money for bankruptcy, spare change for coffee machine and a paper or magazine to read while waiting.
You go to the court, speak to the clerk they will go over the forms, they take the money. You swear that the forms are true. Then you'll be asked to wait, the judge may or may not see you (He will ask you if you sought advice, you say "yes' you name your debt charity that helped you)
Then you leave and wait for the clerk to give you your bankruptcy order, you then Speak to the OR's clerk on the phone they'll ask you a few questions and you ask them you wish to use your coop/barclays basic account as your pay and DD's go through it. They say they will speak to the bank they have no interest in it.
Then you go home and have a nice cup of tea and chocolate !!
Hope this helped.

solid advice above,
dont worry about it, taking charge of your life again is a noble move.
id say good luck, but you wont even need that :P
look forward to being debt free and starting the rest of your life,
and also have a HUGE laugh at the letters you'll get upon going bankrupt, offering credit at 500% and up, the few days after bankruptcy

good luck for tomorrow, hubby and I did it last week, was v scared about it but was all ok.
the court clerk was v nice, changed a few bits on the papers for me that I had filled in wrong, then we waited for a bit, saw the judge who was also really nice, just read through the paperwork, asked if we had sought advice, then told us it was in our interests to comply with the OR as quickly as possible etc. then told us to go and get a cup of tea before speaking to the OR's office and to now concentrate on our little family (have a 2 year old and he must have read this on the file).
spoke to the OR's office, they confrmed some details and then we went home. took 1 1/2 hours in total.
The best bit was when we got home we had 3 letters from Debt Collectors and I could just say "ha ha you can think on"
the OR rang the next day to arrange a phone interview, we have that this week.
So please don't worry, i understand how you feel, but you will feel so much better when you walk out that court room tomorrow xx0 -
Just a quick question - do you need 3 copies of your forms as well as the original, or the original and 2 copies?0
