Which boiler would you choose ?

Hi
I am looking for a new boiler to provide heating and hot water in a medium sized well insulated house. ( 3 bedrooms, 8 radiators, two occupants, light hot water users, shower runs off stored hot water ) Current boiler is nearly 30 years old and has never given a days trouble. Don't want a combi boiler and have seen these two which would seem to fit the bill. It will need to be housed in an existing kitchen cabinet but since both are smaller than the current boiler I assume this will not be an issue. I s one better than another or are they both much of a muchness? reliability is a key factor

Worcester bosch Greenstar Ri series
Vaillant ecoTEC plus

If your looking in the price range of Vaillant and W.B. please take a look a Viessmann. As an installer I consider them a better boiler than either of the above. You've probably never heard of them but they sell over 1.5 million condensing boiler in Europe every year. A 5 year warranty on parts and a 10 year warranty on the STAINLESS STEEL heat exchanger makes them the only one to have in my books.
It's that stainless steel heat exchanger that really sets it apart from the rest. Hope this helps.

I'd go for a vaillant myself.
and if I remember rightly... both the ones you mentioned have stainless heat exchangers.
If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

We had a new Vaillant installed about 10 months ago. It has been absolutely brilliant throughout the winter. Much more efficient than our old boiler which was only 9 years old.

It runs very quietly and the rads and hot water get up to temperature very quickly.

I would go for Vaillant any day, stainless steel heat exchanger, easy to service and obtain spares if needed, had mine over 5 years so far and not needed as spare part yet ;)
