BA Fashion Design Interview help please

Hi all

Not really MS question (although as DD has spent £110.00 on getting her portfolio together this week it'll be a waste of money if she doesn't get in .

DD1 has an interview tomorrow in Birmingham for their Fashion Design BA and her tutour on her Foundation course has been about as much use as a chocolate teapot in helping the students prepare. DD is now panicking slightly and I just wondered if anyone on here had been interview for a Fashion BA and if so, the sort of questions they ask.

She is going to go through her presentation with me later and some idea of how much she should 'present' and how much will be responding to their questions would be really helpful.

My daughter has had 2 interviews so far for Textile Design (not exactly the same but similar field) and she has 'talked through' her portfolio, answering questions as they arise. Both interviews lasted 15-20 mins.

i haven't fashion knowledge as a course, but i can imagine the interviewer asking things such as - what inspirations/influences do you have as a designer?
what is fashion?
what do you think about the current trends, what influences it?
who are your best designers?

that sort of thing. hope she gets in. make sure she's super-confident as fashion or anything creative is v hard to get in, esp. if her course is in high demand and is from a well-respected uni for fashion design.

She went - and was offered a place two days later and all she has to do is complete her Foundation this year :j:j:j:j
