Heating / HW quote

Hi folks,
Been quoted £3500 + VAT by a local tradesman for new heating and HW system in my house. 2 bed bungalow, 9 rads inc towel rail, quality combi in loft space, removal of existing hot air system. This varies wildly from the last quote that was about £6000 (though I suspect he just didn't want he job).
It almost sounds a bit cheap to be true but the fella comes well recommended so what am I worrying about!
My questions are:
1. Does this sound like an reasonable estimate?
2. At this price, is there anything I should be asking him to confirm / include?
3. Am I worrying unneccesarily (again!)?
Many thanks for your replies, any comments most welcome.
Cheers,
