Don't panic!
You have time on your side, 5 months is quite a long time. Budget well and save what you can in that time so you have something to fall back on for any unexpected costs.
Have a look at:
www.spareroom.co.uk/
www.flatshare.com/
www.roombuddies.com
www.flatmateclick.co.uk/
These are flatmate/flatshare finders.
I don't know what your circumstances are, children or pets would make flat/ house sharing a nightmare and I know that it's not ideal if you like your own space. I love my own space but have been in some very successful flat shares in the past, and often for less than £400 a month.
What are your circumstances and where do you live?[STRIKE]Saving for a deposit on a flat[/STRIKE]

You can always apply to the local Council's rent deposit scheme, if ur really stuck. They make a interest free loan for 1 mnths rent deposit and then agree a rate to repayDF as at 30/12/16

It will be myself,OH and dog. Flatsharing isn't really ideal for us.
OH is self employed so has no certain wage each month if any.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

We will have the deposit money - it's the actual day to day living plus getting somewhere with our terrible credit and OH's self employment, seems impossible!determined_new_ms wrote: »You can always apply to the local Council's rent deposit scheme, if ur really stuck. The last place I rented I found by looking on gumtree.
Shelter are the housing charity and could probably advise where you should be looking. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Try your local paper. It seems that most private landlords prefer to advertise in the ads at the back rather than pay agents or for web advertising.0
