What is the current market value of house. What is the outstanding mortgage.
Child support appears low, is this through CSA? Is it actually paid?
Do you have to have a car, tv .
Grow your own tobacco or better still give up.

Thank you for all your responses:
N/M the child support is the amount that my ex pays for his son through the CSA, I have asked them to review this amount 25 times now and apparently this is all he can afford.
Sorry should have said that I do pay over 12 months for my council tax, I will reduce the amount I spend on food, cleaning and lunches.
Have had the LBM well and truly now. (gulps more wine) thats better, thank you brokeinyorkshire for your lovely words, may be absolutely broke but soooooo glad to be free from abusive ex. xxxxxxx

I join the grocery challenge each month, this month I have set my budget at £300 which is for 2 adults, 3 children, various pets, and covers food, cleaning products, toiletries, pet food and work and school lunch boxes. I have 10 days left this month and have only spent £165.54. Check out the old style boards for the challenge and loads of hints and tips :)
