hi there
want to get my rads white again, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to which type of paint to use for the best results as i've never painted them before.
thanks for any advice

Spray them if you can, it makes for a much tidier finish.0

At various times I have painted rads with ordinary gloss, with matt and with eggshell emulsion. Results have always been good and long lasting.0

I recently re-painted a couple of my radiators and went out and bought the special Hammerite radiator paint. Tried it on the first radiator and it turned out to be absolute rubbish - it went on like water and resulted in an awful finish. Ended up scraping/sanding it all off and using regular white gloss. Two coats later and the radiators looked as good as new. They do smell a bit when first used (due to the chemicals in the paint) but that only lasts a few days.0

I have never painted mine with anything other than the same white gloss that the wood work was being painted. Smells a bit for a few days, after that, no problem.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Funny - I had good results from Hammerite radiator paint and it seemed a brighter white somehow than other white gloss. Pay your money and take your choice!Adventure before Dementia!0
