Debenhams - Moan.

How peed off I am. No point complaining to Debenhams as to be honest, it is really my fault for not checking the dresses in store, but with a company like Debenhams you wouldn't expect to have this problem!

On 13th March I purchased a dress from the Rocha John Rocha department at Debenhams in Derby. Upon getting home, I noticed a small hole in the stitching section near the top of the zip - so returned this. The lady who served me was less than helpful and didn't want to accept it back. As I had taken the tags off because I thought it would be fine!

So returned it and exchanged on 20th march for the exact same dress again as it was really pretty :)

Got it home and wanted to wear it last night and guess what . . . a hole in the stitching section of the zip at the bottom. I was really mad to be honest as I don't live close to the store and its lots of inconvienience for me to return it also there wasnt another one in my size. So obviously I had to last minute find something to wear, got to find time and pay bus fares to return the dress all for the sake of there quality control being poor!

Anyway sorry for my moan - it was just mighty annoying!

I know you have your statutory rights, etc but can you not repair the stitching, seems like such a hassle if all it needs is a little repair. Especially if repairing is going to cost less than your busfare, etc.

No to be honest it is quite a hole in the dress, also I have althritis so stitching wouldnt work for me. Also for the cost of the dress i'd expect a perfect garnment :)

No probs, I was just curious. ;) Thought it might have saved you the extra journey and busfare as sometimes we all get so hell bent on the princple of things that we overlook the obvious. :D
