Good & bad news..what to do next??

Hi guys, as some of you may have read on my other post, I have been succesful in claiming back PPI on one loan, however it was bitter sweet as they are not giving me the full 2000, onlya mere 174 as my loan was passed to recovery due to a few missed payments...Im chasing that one up claiming financial hardship...

The other querie is, i also claimed on a previous loan that i had already payed off, this was taken out in 2001 with my now ex wife. I put in a claim and recieved a letter back saying that i wasnt successful as i had ticked & signed to say i wanted PPI and I had read the rules etc..However, as PPI wasnt a big thing back then I honeslty didt know what I was signinig for, bank jargon being as it is..But Imassuming it was for loss of income/ redundancy/ illness etc but given that I am and was in the armed forces, this wouldnt have ever been an issue so can i dispute the decision based on that fact alone, that i shouldnt have been sold it as it would have never been needed?

    Hi there

Write back if that was not the final decision and tell them you do not agree with their findings, what they have said is bog standard, they tell everyone the same, "you signed, you must have been aware and so on", they hope this puts you off this makes no difference, you do have your reasons so stick by them, but do not step back from this now.

If this was the final response then I would move on to the FOS, but otherwise write back until you receive the final response, which should also enclose the details of the FOS.

    Keep at them.;)
