Sweetpea advice please

I've had a bash at growing sweetpeas for the first time this year. I planted them in loo rolls innards and they have done well, except for they are growing very high and one of them has keeled over. Any advice on what to do? Is it too early to plant outside? At present they are in my conservatory on a bright windowsill that doesn't really get direct sunlight.

TIA :)

Have you 'pinched' them out?.....after two or three leaves have formed you can nip the top off between your finger and thumb-this gives you bushier plants

I sowed mine in pots in an unheated greenhouse in November and today, as it's been sunny (yes sun!!! Had forgotten what it looked like!), I've put them all outside to start hardening them up a bit before planting them in the ground. Sweet peas are supposed to be pretty hardy, I think, but we did have a frost last night, so I'm thinking that as they've been under glass all winter, I'll just toughen them up a bit first. I'll definitely put them in the ground first week in April.

They are as tough as old boots, mine are fine, and thats after I found the compost frozen in the pots about a month ago. :D

Mine are in my placcy greenhouse and will go out next month.

Thanks to all - I pinched them out and will start hardening them off in preparation for planting out.

    Cheers

PS: Yes foxgloves, think everyone had forgotten what the sun looked like!!
