It went upo to Stage 50, then laptop restarted. I never got a log file :(

When it restarted I got a message saying my computer had just recovered from a serious error and then one about a Generic Host Win32 program being terminated.

I'm not on IE 6 anymore! I changed over to Firefox this morning - going to update Service Pack now :o

It just showed a list of Completed Stages and then rebooted itself

My McAfee kicked in once the laptop restarted and said it had removed 2 viruses and fingers crossed lappy seems OK now.

I have run a search on my C drive and can't find that document anywhere.

rather than running combofix again as it has already crashed once,
Download DDS from the following location http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr
run and then post the log it produces.

seeing combofix crashed it may not have removed everything on reboot , running the 2nd time will enusre that it has done its job

check that you are disabling Mcafee properly
