That would be great about the books..nothing too wordy..pictures would be better !!(reading ability of very impatient 10 year old) anything alieny or ufo type stuff. Hi folks, just a quickie as I'm at work, but if I don't post I'll forget.

Jo, I've only just started using flickr for sharing my crochet on here and I have to say that I don't find it particularly intuitive. Never had any experience of picassa, but might have a play since flickr disappoints me a little. Although it would appear to get a lot of traffic....

sounds great NLID!! Something I'd definately be interested in if its written suitably for the hard of understanding! Trouble I find with a lot of tech books is that they assume a relatively high knowledge of computer terms which I dont have (left school the year they finally got computers)

Way early, but I almost forgot to say to those who are writing or want to pubish, you can go the self publishing route and use Lulu. You can get an ISBN number and I believe sell titles through amazon.

With regards to self publishing, I believe, although I may be wrong, that if you can show a level of purchases from self publishing, it is easy to then get a 'proper' publishing deal and subsequently advances for future titles penned

A lady I knew did this. She sold a few thousand through Lulu after being turned down from every publisher going, and then had the same publishers begging to publish it and she got a 4 book deal after that.

Making a living as an author is a bit too far in the future, Im yet to finish righting my first eBook (although as it is a subject I know well, im hoping to knock out the first draft in the next couple of days - no point in hanging around )
