First Direct

I am currently looking to move banks, I'm Currently with Citibank, but there customer service is awful. The only benefit Citibank has is the totally free £500 overdraft. I've been searching and it seems a choice between Halifax and First Direct, does anyone have any ideas which is best, most of my banking is online, no need for a branch service, but must be UK call centres!!

I have only had limited experience of Halifax, but I would say you won't go far wrong with FD.......

Have used FD for over 20 years and always been very happy with them. I use on line banking and have never had a problem. Their phone line staff are excellent and very helpful and they always ring you when they say they will.
The only problem i have is that they are scottish and it's murder sometime for me to understand them.I think they are used to me now.
