Can anyone advise me on two error messages I am receiving when the PC loads.
The first on states:
Application error and in the box below "could not get stats". I click on OK then a second one comes up, again headed Application error and in the box below this "main window initalization failed". I click on OK and the PC seems to work alright, although something is making those messages appear.
My system is Windows XP and the ISP BT Broadband who last night increased my speed from 2.2Gb to 2.5 Gb and the server went down for a few hours!
Any help advice would be appreciated!

It could be your modem. See http://www.d-a-l.com/help/archive/index.php/t-39207.html
Follow the advice in that thread and run msconfig (Start - Run - type in msconfig and click OK). Look at the Startup tab in msconfig and untick any box that looks like it might be for your modem (look at the command column). Reboot and see if the error message has gone away. If not, put the tick back and try another one (untick one box at a time).0 -
Thanks Chippy. Following your advice and the link that you mentioned. I did as you suggested and unticked the Dragdiag box. This seems to have sorted the problem out :beer:To Dare is To Do:beer:0
