Our 7 year old loft hatch is 'plastic' it is very badly yellowed. Do we just gloss it or is there a way to clean it up or do we need special paint? TY.

Has the plastic itself yellowed or is it a film of dirt etc. If its the latter, use brasso - this shifts everything! Other wise, use an oil based undercoat and ordinary gloss.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

try this http://www.bedec.co.uk/MSP COLOUR CARD.pdf
it doesn't need undercoat , water based so it dries really quickly and doesn't smell0 -
wash it off with sugar soap, sand it down a bit and then paint in the normal way.Get some gorm.0
