thanks, not sure where to go now lol had so many good suggestions. We are staying at Solway in Cumbria so dont want to travel more than a couple of hours in the car, that would be too much for the kids and no fun. So trying to find somewhere we can spend the whole day, enough stuff to please everybody and if I can use Tesco rewards even better. Trying to chose now between Diggerland, Camelot and The tower. My OH fancied visiting Beamish too so thats close to Diggerland. So many choices.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
We took our grandson to the Tower last year as it was raining and he had a fantastic day, still talks about it now so we are going back this year, he was 4 1/2 at the time. There is a large play area with pirate ships. We were in as soon as it opened, came out for evening meal and went back for the circus. half way through the circus he was falling asleep so we left at the interval.
Seemed expensive when we paid as we only expected to be in a couple of hours but for all day it was really good value.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
We live in Blackpool and took our neice and nephew when they were only 2 and 4 - they absolutely loved it. There are lots of childrens rides in Beaver Creek including a rollercoaster - they just wanted to keep going on the rides over and over. The only thing is that you would really need one of the adults to have a wristband as you would obviously want to accompany the children on some of the rides. You can just pay £5 for the other adults who don't want to ride - that gets them into the park and includes a few things like a magic show, maize, train etc. Have a lovely time if you do decide to go. I'm sure the children will have a wonderful time.0

Another vote for the tower. We took our(then) 4 year old lst year and he loved it. We too spent all day in there. The circus was fab and worth the entrance fee alone. A good family day out and it doesn't matter what the weather is doing! Will def go again later in the year.0

If you are staying in Cumbria what about South Lakes Zoo? It is a great day out.0

Thanks will look into that too. we are worried about the price hike in petrol at the moment. The local prices are £1.20 per litre, im worried we may not be able to go to all the places we wanted to because it would simply copst us a fortune in petrol. We are already driving down from Ayrshire. So maybe more local stuff in Cumbria and Carlisle might be our best option so we can enjoy ourselves and not worry about how much is going on fuel.
thanks again to everyone for the replies.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

If you are in the area it would be a shame not to go to the South Lakes Animal Park, if you look for leaflets for thing to do there is usually a free child voucher for this placeLife is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

My 4 year old loved Carlisle castle. And just behind it is Bitts park which the kids love.0
