Brother's wife secretly trying to divorce him

Hi
My brother's wife is secretly trying to divorce him. They have 3 kids and live in a council property. She has been committing adultery.
Can she kick him out? Both of their names are on the tenancy agreeement and I have told him not to leave. Why should he? It is her decision to go with other men and disrupt her children's lives. If he leaves, he'll have nowhere to live.
Thanks in advance.

He should ask her to go to marriage guidance with him. Seeking mediation might not be what he wants to do but is best to get some professional advice right away.
He could ask her to leave and stay with the kids. Who's the main carer?0 -
If he is on the tenancy agreement then she cannot force him to leave - only the landlord (the council) can do that.poppy100

Tell your brother to stay put, if she wants to leave let her but he has done nothing wrong0

I love the idea of the divorce being secret... secret from who?

Not very 'secret' if he knows about it is it????????????You live..You learn.:)0

The council website or tenancy handbook will make clear how the council deal with someone wanting to take over a joint tenancy. The Shelter website has a section that deals with how relationship breakdown are affected by certain types of tenancy .0

The children are the most important here !
At a young age they can pick up on issues within the home.
Ok she has strayed but their is always two sides to a relationship.
If the relationship is not mendable then move on and seek access.0 -
Allways two sides (usually 3) to a story........0

Hey.
I have also posted on the relationships board for the relationship aspect but came on this bit for the tenancy part of the problem.
Maybe 'in secret' is not the phrase. I meant he found some papers for the divorce solicitor and is shocked as he had no clue she would do this. She doesnt know that he knows. Yes, I know, it sounds so stupid. I have told him that they have to talk. All this cloak and dagger stuff is so childish.
Thanks for your responses, I will advise him to stay put.0
