Tesco points cut off date

I dunno if our MFI deals tokens are safe from the consequences of all this kerfuffle, I think I'll keep saving them up until the fate of MFI is clear though. What dya think would happen if they did merge with focus? Would our vouchers be valid there? And if that merger went pear shaped? Would we be re-imbursed to the full value of our vouchers?

Hiya funnymoney, I am sure that Tesco would have to honour the vouchers. The best result for me if they did merge would be that the newly merged company would let me spend my vouchers on not only furniture for the new extension BUT also on items such as wallpaper, paint, coving etc. I could save myself lots.

Hiya- That would be a brilliant result.
I do vaguely remember an incident with a high street voucher company who went bust- I think they re-imbursed everyone with the cash equivalent of their vouchers, but can't be sure. I don't have a clue what their legal obligations would be. I might get on the phone tomorrow and see if I can get any information from senior management of MFI / Tesco. At least then it might make them realise that people are worried about the fate of their vouchers. I'm sure tesco will honour them in some way or another, but worried it might only be 1/4 of their value at MFI.
