Does anyone know if spending done this weekend will be included or if the points actually have to show before the cut off date??bylromarha wrote:you're right...it's Sunday.

Sorry to hijack the thread- but I'm a bit confused as to whether MFI are leaving the deals scheme this year or not. I spoke to a CS rep on the phone just now (0800 591688) and they told me that MFI are definitely definitely definitely not leaving the deals scheme in the forseeable future. I thought they were. I suppose they'd have to give a warning to points collectors well in advance to give people chance to spend their deals tokens, but does anyone know any more about what is going on? MFI tokens are the sole reason I collect CC points. Would not be happy to wake up one morning and find they've been pulled from the list of deals partners.
Thanks in advance...0 -

When I spent my deals vouchers in MFI back in April, I was advised by the guy serving me that they were pulling out of the Clubcard deals.
I asked when and was told probably early 2007.
Have also heard it quite a few times on here.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hmm. I asked the cs girl on the phone if I would still be able to use my MFI deals vouchers early next year and she said 'yes, definitely'. I said I was told by staff in MFI as I had heard these rumours on MSE before but she said that they are definitely not pulling out. She sounded weary of being asked as well so you'd think she'd have made sure she had got her facts straight before telling numerous people that. Is anyone willing to grill their CS? That way we can see if we all get the same reply. I'll ring again in a minute and ask them again- lets hope I don't get the same lady...0

Thanks
I'd love to know the answer to that myself. It's all very confusing.
I'm also unsure at what exact point they add on "extra" points for other things, for example:
• The points carried over in change from my last conversion of Clubcard vouchers to Deals tokens, as the vouchers I converted online were not exact multiples of £5
• The 50 extra points they promised for converting vouchers to Deals online
• The 200 extra points for doing a free trial of Tesco DVD Rental
• Powergen points
All of these points have been due for at least 6 weeks but haven't been added to my balance as of today. I'm hoping they all get added on in the period in between the cut-off date and the statement being mailed out (about 2-3 weeks isn't it?).0 -
I have heard these rumours, many, many times but when we go to MFI and spend the vouchers we (Tesco customers) seem to be the only ones buying things. Our extension plans to double the house have been agreed and I know how much I want to spend building it. As for furnishing it, eg new kitchen, ensuite bathroom suite, dining room furniture etc I am banking on MFI and Tesco to continue with their partnership, as a family of 6 we clock up alot of points and I am hoping that it will help towards the costs.

I've wondered about this myself - about when all the extra points (like double points, which don't get added on the receipt, etc) - get added on, and I've always assumed it's in that in-between period as well, after the cut-off date.taxiphil wrote:I'm hoping they all get added on in the period in between the cut-off date and the statement being mailed out (about 2-3 weeks isn't it?).
But as you said, it is very confusing, and Tesco could make it a bit more straightforward. The suspicious person in me wonders if they are doing this deliberately, so that people wouldn't be able to keep track of their points so easily...
