Somewhere to stay to break journey from North West to South West

Am looking for somewhere to stay en route to the South West. Will need 1 room for the night of 12 October ideally somewhere between south Birmingham and north of Bristol to break my journey for the night. Would prefer somewhere just off the motorway as not sure how noisy the Travel Lodges are in motorway services. Any recommendations?

If you do a search on the travelodge website you can find saver rooms from £15, hotels by busy roads can be noisy but you can get a bad room in a 5 star hotel with air con noise or heathrow airport 10 miles away.

There are a few Travelodges just off the M5 which may be more suitable for you.;)

The Travelodges on the services are usually set back from the main traffic route. I've stayed in a couple and not even known there was a motorway nearby.

We did a similar stop-over last year but we stopped at the Travel Lodge at jnction 27 [100 yds off the motorway on the A38] a bit further south than you want.

Worth trying the Travel lodge at Eastington near Stonehouse. It's not to far from the M5 (J13) and is not part of a motorway services - fairly quiet. There is also some nice local pubs near by to get you away from those little chef's!

I'd probably go with the newly opened Premier Travel Inn at Tewkesbury. It is literally on the motorway exit roundabout but is set far enough back from it that sound shouldn't be an issue. And Tewkesbury ia a nice little town should you wish to venture in.
