What I meant was ,I cant understand why they haven't just jumped to it ,paid you off and put it down as losses ,its no skin off their nose ,they would be covered ,so why are they avoiding doing that ?
Would make me worried that's its a scam ? was it a reputable company or some fly by night with no ratings on ebay ?0 -

The company may well be insured, however in consideration of the value we are discussing (about £500?) it may not make sense for the company to pay the excess on their policy. Factor in the possibility of increased premiums the following year.
For a small outfit with limited reputation, they probably take the commercial decision to hope that the OP just gives up.My farts hospitalize small children
