    I would say you just need to consider how often it is going to be used and then work out how much you want to pay. If the travel cot's going to be used regularly (if baby will be stopping overnight at relatives a lot, for example) then it is worth shelling out for a bit more. Some of the cheaper ones aren't very well padded but you could always pad out the bottom with something soft, I suppose.

    I only needed to use a travel cot on holiday last year so I just hired one from a local nursery shop in the place we stayed in (Penzance.) If you're thinking of only using it a couple of times it might be worthing looking into renting or getting hold of a second-hand one, rather than buying a new one.
