Hi All,
My OH took out an IVA earlier this year and obviously he is now unable to get credit. His phone contract recently ran out and the phone company offered him a renewal. He accepted this and the phone arrived, then he cancelled it and sent it back because we realised it wasn't a very good deal. We've been looking around at different contract, but then it occured to us that he may not be able to start a new contract with a different company because of the insolvency. Although the company he is currently with will happily renew his contract. Does anyone know whether this would be the case? Has anyone else experienced this?
Love,

I wasnt allowed a contract with orange - so Im pay as you go (with a much better deal that Id have probably got otherwise,so Im not too bothered!!) but theres someone else who comes in here who still has a contract - cant remember who they are with though - think its just a case of trying people and being up front with them... good luck !Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

3 and Orange I hear tend to be more friendly than most when it comes to accepting poor credit folks. They may ask for a refundable deposit up front to cover the 'danger' factor though.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

I tried with Vodafone and was declined for a contract. I've been with Orange for years and have had no trouble extending my contract with them several times.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
