Tax & MOT DUE Please help

Sorry for the questions but im feeling a bit thick tonight :confused:

How much is car tax for 12 months - I have a VW polo 1.4 51 plate

Also Mot coming up at same time september -

Wheres the best place to go - are there any offeres out there?

    Your car tax disc will say what taxation group your car is in; then look up the current rate at https://www.dvla.gov.uk.

    As for the MOTs, there are often garages which will discount the (>£30) official rate, but some people have suspicions that they do this to hook MOT customers who they then attempt to foist unnecessary and over-priced repairs on.

    I've allways been suspisious about cheaper MOT places, but I recently found one that does the MOT for £35 (I think the standard is about £45). And the only repairs they do are transmissions, which you can't fail an MOT for.
