Had just got used to the new Halifax charges.....

.... and then got this letter (no money in account for DD to go out):

"We are writing to tell you that we have refused to make a payment (or payments) from your account as you did not have enough money available. As a result we will take the following fee (or fees) from your account. We charge an Unpaid Item Fee when we decide to return unpaid, or not to pay, any cheque, card transaction, standing order, direct debit or other instruction that would result in or increase an unarranged overdraft. (Card transaction' is defined in the bank account conditions. 'Other instruction' could include any money coming out of your account.)The details of any payment that we have not paid, and the fee we have charged, are shown in the table below. You may want to contact the person or organisation a payment should have been paid to so you can make other arrangements."

It's £15. Is this new, or did I just completely miss it when all the new stuff came in? I forgot to do a transfer (mixed dates up) so I know it's my fault, but didn;t know they charged.

Grrrrrrr.

Sounds like you've got a Cardcash account (not a Reward Current Account, Ultimate Reward Current Account or plain ole Halifax Current Account).

Yes, it is. I've got the others too, and do a lot of transferring/swapping money as it goes in and out. I'll get that DD changed over to my current account, and give myself a slap!

    Thanks.
