Messed up buyers feedback!

I was cutting and pasting comments I have previously used and put part of my listing description in a buyers feedback by mistake. It made it look like she had done something wrong - it was about paying by paypal only from outside UK nothing at all to do with this buyer. I have followed it up with an amendment saying my mistake and this buyer is highly recommended, but I feel terrible. Do I wait for buyer to read or do I make apologetic contact now?

  • I'm very much a newbie at e-bay but if it was me I would much rather see details in an apologetic email than find out when I next looked at my feedback.

Provided you didn't actually neg your buyer, there's no harm done.

Anyone who see's the erroneous comment will also see the retraction.

I think it's a good idea to send a quick email just to let the buyer know.

im always worried i'll do this, thats why i have to do all my positive comments in one batch and not so positives in another....lol

dont worry as long as u posted a decent retraction and emailed the buyer to explain what ud dont - id think no harm done - u didnt neg her did u?
