Dinning room stuff on Ebay

Whilst idly browsing Ebay a few days ago I spotted a "dinning chair". Since spotting this I have seen several other "dinning" items, so many that I reached for a dictionary (online of course) to check that I was spelling the word dining correctly.
I've just done a search and there are currently 540 "dinning" items on Ebay. Is this just bad spelling or is dinning a new word that I just haven't encountered before?

There are just a lot of idiots about (and more over this weekend).
Some typos are just funny though: Clicky, read the title

I keep seeing listings for a chest of "draws".
Perhaps they were eventually "brought" in error by a 4 year old who "bidded" on them.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

You can often get a bargain by searching for mispelt items as people haven't found them and bid on them. goofbay.com does a search for you if you put the correct spelling in.

Some people (namby-pamby socialist treehugging PC-do-gooders mainly) say that spelling does not matter.
In some ways I have to agree - misspell engines help me find bargains by taking advantage of the inability to spell.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I'm one of those, and spelling does matterstevew8975 wrote: »Some people (namby-pamby socialist treehugging PC-do-gooders mainly) say that spelling does not matter.

I was reading a discussion on Amazon the other day which contained the comment:
:eek:My friends and I love these books just as we love the Twilight series and the House of Night novels, all of which contain grammatical errors. Books are to tell a story; what does it matter if they're not in perfect English - NOBODY is perfect!
It's a book- people are paid to edit them, and it just makes it hard to read if they have dodgy spelling and grammar.
They also tried to pull the "you're too old to get it" defense about books which were written by a 58 year old, so clearly they are lacking in the reasoning department.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Waaaay o/t - but I very nearly reduced a "NPSTPCDG" to tears recently when I justifiably reasoned that my 4.0 V8 car had a smaller carbon footprint than her Prius...!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
