have had a cheap asda kettle and toaster and am very impressed.
i second having a look in wilkinsons too - i was very lucky to be in the right place right time and got a duvet for 20p in there! you can order online and have delivered to store for free with quidco cashback. Or in store for every £19 of saver stamps you buy you get £1 free.
maybe if you have time take a notebook and do a comparison.
also, if you have good/cheap charity shops nearby then duvet covers/pillowcases/cutlery/plates etc are all washable - likewise from car boot sales. i love picking up vintage plates for pence.0 -

I noticed when I was in Morrisons the other week that they do a "First Home" range..
The prices seemed quite reasonable - I have no idea how they compare to other Supermarkets tho, but it may be worth a look if you have one nearby.

Don't bother buying the Tesco cheapy iron - I'm on my 5th in as many months!!! It is starting to get a tad embarrasing to return them now0

Try ebay for big things. I sold my grandpa's sofa and 2 arm chairs for only a tenner. And I got myself a 32" TV for £1.04! Not new obviously, but worth it if you don't have the money for everything at once! I would also second freecycle for the same reasons, and you can post wanted messages if there are specific things you are after! Good luck! Thanks to all those who post competitions! :T

I would look on car boot sales as you often get new things there in boxes , also jumble sales , most are on at wekends if you check your local paper - worth a look
Argos do kitchen starter sets for the kitchen aswell as Ikea
If you check on the weekly email lfro mmartin the yhave a debenhams sale on with a discount code 50 % off I think sale . Have a look on there home range for towels , kitchen stuff and electrical
Check the Loot and Gumtree for new and used things and the local paper
Shop windows people offer cookers , suites etc
Bed frames are mega cheap in your local area if you check ebay and then buy a new mattress
Ebay is also good for essentials and large appliances if you do a search in your local area of 15 miles radius to save on postage
B& M have cheap but good irons at the moment around £20 - also sainsburys have them on offer at the moment , also they do nice cheap bedsets / curtains etc
Home Bargains is good for pots / cups pans etc
Instore for cushions and a few electricals , set top boxes are usually cheap in there also and cutlery with kitchen bits
Check your local auction markets as they usually do electrical items big and small from shop excess items - just make sure to test them before the auction starts , but you can bid quite low on items if you get a good day
Other than that , I would suggest
Wilkinsons, argos , tj hughes , woolworths website , amazon , tesco with £10 off a £50 spend , sainsburys has a special offer on too when your a new buyer ,
If you find a store you want to spend online with go through quidco first to get cashback and check the shop offers on mse for discount codesEbay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin
