I have some old defaults sat on my credit record, they have all been paid and settled. (bout 4-5 years old)
I am currently with Nationwide on there crappy flexaccount, I have nothing - no overdraft, no debit card and they wont give me one cause of "adverse information"...which some snotty cashier guy told me.
Anyway I wanna tell them to go F*** themselves and take with me all the insurance business I have with them etc, but does anyone know of a bank they will consider me baring in mind my situation.

Maybe consider a basic bank account with debit card.
The Co-operative Bank : Current Accounts : Cashminder
Debit Card Type: Visa Electron.
NatWest : Current Account : Step Account
Debit Card Type: UK (Solo) and abroad (Maestro).
Both above accounts have Branch, telephone and on-line account access.
Hope this helpsProudly Banking & Saving With:

Remember that all your debts disapear from the record six years after they have been settled, or whatever. So you might do better to sit tight for a year, after which you should find everything significantly easier.0
