Well i never realised that credit card payments are not accepted while purchasing cars. Well, while going through auto trader most dealers advertised "all credit cards accepted" so i presume they will accept mine .. or...?

It is a bit misleading to say credit card payments are not accepted for cars. What followed next in the post that stated that was more accurate. Dealers will take credit cards (main ones anyway, you might not find the smaller companies do) but charge you fees to do so. When I bought my last car the dealer was going to charge 5% to use my credit card. He took the hit on the deposit because he didn't tell me before taking the money and because we are long standing customers but obviously he couldn't bear the cost of the balance so I paid for that by cheque.
