Hi, I am thinking of going to Rimini, particularly Rivazzurra. Is anybody been there before ? is it nice in May ? is a cheap place to eat... etc ? I will go with Oh,dd ( 2/12 yo) And MIL & FIL.
I haven't book the tickets yet, but since the flights to Malaga are so expensive right now and we can now to Rimini instead as being so much cheaper.. i would like to know your views.
thank you

It may not be "summer" hot enough in May.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

we do not want really hot weather, just nice spring weather, being able to be in t shirt and shorts for a change...Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

We went to Rimini twice, 2 different hotels. I recognise the name Rivazurra, but I'm not sure what part we stayed in by name.
The first hotel was called Metropole http://www.hotelmetropole.it/eng/index.php and it was fine. There was a great pizzeria (I think it was called Joe's Pizzeria) across the road. Second time we stayed up nearer the train station - Mercure La Gradisca and we didn't much like the hotel. It was closer to the Irish pub though (The Barge?), however we took the bus down the road to Joe's Pizzeria for dinner a few times!!
We did a few side trips too - bus to Cattolica (can also take train), bus to San Marino (really nice). You can even take the train to Bologna if you like.0 -
I went a couple of years ago and loved it - i've looked at going again as it makes a refreshing change from spain0

I've been there about 15 times, mostly when I was younger. Stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago at the start of September and can highly recommend it.

Cattollica is also very nice.
The transport is very cheap both the buses and trains and very easy to get around. We seek a world in which everyone with HIV/AIDS can live an abundant lifeWant to join us?0 -
When I looked up the Metropole hotel it looked nicer than when we stayed...kind of made me want to go back!
I will say though, we went in June both times and didn't get very good weather. When it was sunny it was nice and warm, but when cloudy it was a bit chilly.0
