no postage paid

Hiya, just after some advice,

bought something on ebay, paid £3.00 for postage and picked it up today actual postage was only £1.85 but there wasnt any postage on the parcel so i have to pay that plus £1.00 handling fee
i have emailed the seller and awaiting a reply - i am hoping it was just a simple mistake and i will be refunded what i paid

but what happens if the seller doesnt? can anyone advise on what action i would need to take?

If they don't refund the £3 you paid for postage, then leave them a negative, as otherwise you would have paid twice!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

personally if i got no contact from the seller i would open a dispute for item not received(if non recorded)
when i got my refund i would return the payment to the seller minus costs for postage paid

well leaving a negs fine but why should you be out of pocket
this way you get your item for the price you were prepared to pay and morally the seller gets whats due to them
  • hi everyone, thanks for your advice,

the seller doesn't speak very good English, he did ''refund'' me the £2.85 but instead of doing a partial payment he sent me a payment so ended up paying fee's on it *rollseyes*
oh well, at least i got most of it back anyway, :)

  • I had this happen a few years ago where the seller stuck a stamp - a licky one(not sure real name of them) - on a plastic postal bag which fell off once posted. The seller was nice and gave me the money for the postage and handling charge I had to pay at the sorting office.
