does a new boiler count as a purchase on credit card

I've got British gas coming to fit new boiler next month and was wondering if I paid by credit card if it would count as a purchase so I could get an interest free repayment period on it

Any

If you pay by credit card via their credit card terminal, it will be purchase.

However if you go to ATM and withdraw cash to pay them then no, it won't be classed as purchase.

I don't see why not. Any particular reason you think it might not be?

if british gas take credit card as payment for a boiler it would count as a purchase phone bg and ask

just wanted to check, was pretty sure it would but was thinking maybe someone on here had done the same and wanted to double check
