Am fed up today, got trouted at Sainsburys. Yes, the same Sainsburys that were lovely earlier in the week were a nightmare today.

young female SA put my shopping through as normal, gave her 3 Candia coupons, and as they don't scan, told her how much the milk costs. She looked so confused she shouted someone over, who shouted someone else over, who shouted a 3rd person over. The third person took my coupons to look through them. I had 2 milka, 3 whiskas temptations, 3 candia, 4 Dove mens and 4 Dove deodorants. I had bought all the products.

I was then told they are out of date, to which I said they are not. She said they had to be cashed by the supermarket within 6 months of the date so they are, she thought the date on top was the date for Sainsburys to cash them.

Then she decided I can only use 1 of each coupon per shop. By this time the queue had built up and everyone was listening.

After much arguing re coupon use she allowed 2 whiskas, 2 milka, all 3 candia, and only 2 Dove. So I unpacked the rest of the Dove products and gave them her back.

When I got home I checked my coupons and she had not given me the unused whiskas coupon back, so that annoyed me as well.

I cannot believe the difference in a few days, they were lovely on Monday and yet today I was made to feel like a crook, totally embarassed. I won't go there again.

:j I found a Thai recipe!!! easy to cook.

    http://importfood.com/recipes.html

Tonigh I shall have a go at their Pad Thai (basically fried noodle). If you don't have palm sugar swap for brown sugar (still taste the same), you can get tamarind paste from supermarket if not swap for lime juice, as for Sriracha sauce (I don't know whats that so will opt out!).

will also do a Mango "som tam" (will not use chillies but instead I shall swap for red capsicum ). They use unripe papaya but I am using unripe mango that I bought for 10p (reduced) at Asda!:rotfl:

1 Mango, 4 small plum tomatoes or any tomatoes that you have in your fridge, 1 carrot, 1 red chilly (or red capsicum), tbsp tamarind juice, 1/2tsp lime juice, 1 clove garlic (optional), 1tsp brown sugar, 1tbsp fish sauce, 1tbsp unsalted roasted peanuts (I have salted peanuts so I shall use salted peanuts.

Peel the mango and shred the green flesh ( using coarse cheese grater if you like).shred the carrot put both in the same bowl.

Pound the garlic (if you use it - like I said I don't use garlic @ home).

Pound/bashed the peanuts but only until coarsely broken up, not reduced to dust or paste (set aside). Mix the tamarind juice, lime juice, fish sauce and the sugar.Chop the tomatoes into quarters.

Now mixed the mixture & tomatoes into mango bowl & mix thoughly & lastly sprinkle the bashed peanuts on top. & serve.

    Evening everyone

Visited a Somerfields shop today and got £23.05 worth of shopping for £11.14. Used 3 Rustlers coupons whilst buying 4 burgers, bought 3 Comfort for £1 each and used 4 x 40p coupons from Evans, got a small Hellmanns jar of mayo for 19p using the £1 coupon which came through the post, got 2 x Dairylea for free and used an extra 30p Dairyleas coupon and lastly got a 2 litre bottle of Cravendale milk for £1.76 minus a 50p and a 30p coupon which came through the post. Oh I forgot I used a £1.50 coupon that came through the post from the Coop when you spend £15 too!!!

Meant to buy a loaf of Hovis using my 25p coupons from Poshnosh (many thanks again, I hope you got my pm) but forgot to pick one up.

Went to Superdrug and got two more John Freida sachet conditioners for blonde hair costing 99p each for free using 2 x £1 coupons and 2p off the rest of my shopping.
