    Hi all,
Just checking in as we can´t ´check in´ to come home...we are stuck in Lanzarote at the moment!

Unfortunately, Monarch flights are not yet agreeing to cover our accommodation so we are paying for each extra day on a credit card. I am off to start a thread asking for advice on the travel board.

Happy anniversary Dr W-W! Hope everyone is OK, hope to be back soon...

I wish this would happen to me when I go home to the States for a visit as I'd just get to spend more time at my Mom's, never stay in a hotel/motel in the States unless we take a trip to a place where I don't have a relative or friend!!! It would be great to "stuck" in the States!! Hope everyone gets to fly to where ever they want to go soon though.;)

Just got back from the Sainsbury's over near my son's. I always get a shallow trolley when I go shopping but since I only had a few items I went to the "Basket Only" till. Just as I started to put my things on the belt the SA said the till was for baskets only. I explained I only had a few things and he said I had to use a basket. So I said, "so if I put my things in a basket 1st then you will serve me?" "Yes", he said. So I got a basket from under the belt, took the stuff I had already put on the belt into the trolley along with the other few things left in the trolley, asked if it was okay for me to put the things back on the belt to which he said yes. The woman in front of me and I were totally dumbfounded by the whole process. I did end up getting £20.56 for £2.53 so I don't mind too much in playing their stupid games. It must be "idiot's day" today though as that was just too idiotic for words and to top it off every idiot that knows how to drive are on the roads around here today too!! One day I'm gonna write a book!!;)
